Senior Chaplain

Dave has been married for 44 years and has three adult sons. He has degrees in journalism, pastoral ministry, and conflict management.

As a chaplain, Dave is honored to be invited into the lives of strangers and given permission to help them cope, make decisions, grieve and move forward from life’s great tragedies. Hopefully, in the process, assisting them with long term recovery mechanisms.

He must become greater; I must become less. The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all.

Dr. Bob Reichert

Bob has over 40 years of experience as a pastor in California churches. He has been married for over 55 years and has three children. He has B.S., M.Div, and D.Min degrees from Colorado universities.

He describes his role as a chaplain as, “Helping people in their greatest time of need, walking folks through crisis incidents.”

Always question statements, never question questions. I've never gotten in trouble for the things I didn't say.

A pastor in the ministry for 15 years, Jose has been married for 22 years, has four children, loves to fish and is a Dodgers fan. 

Volunteering as a chaplain has allowed Jose to serve people during their worst moments, to be a resource in navigating their crisis.

For you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace.

Joseph "Jody" Robertson

Co-pastor at Hope Church in Turlock, CA, Jody is a plumber and has been married to fellow chaplain Joy Robertson for over 40 years. They have five children.

He has been in ministry for 40 years and serves as a chaplain to walk with people through their pain.

Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

A nurse trained in the Emmanuel Medical Center nursing program, Joy has been married to fellow chaplain, Jody Robertson for over 40 years. They have raised 5 children.

“I love to be a help to those hurting and encouraging people that they are going to make it.”

The joy of the Lord is my strength.

Kim Castro

Kim Castro

Chaplain

Kim has served for 30 years in law enforcement and 13 years in fulltime pastoral ministry. He is a Vietnam Era Veteran with the US Navy. Kim volunteers as a crisis and trauma chaplain. He has been married over 42 years with two daughters and four grandchildren.

“Experience in ministry and as a police officer is a good blend in being an effective police chaplain.”

Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth, Will grow strangely dim… In the light of His glory and grace.

Gerry Grossman

Gerry is an Anglican Parish Priest, married for 30 years and the father to two children. He has been in the ministry for over 20 years. 

Serving as a chaplain has allowed him to assist individuals and families in times of need to a place of peace and healing.

All is well and all will be well.

Rachel

Rachel Kasamani

Chaplain

Rachel has experience as a healthcare chaplain, addiction counselor and as a correctional chaplain. She has degrees in ministry and a PhD in Christian Counseling. She is a mother of three and has been in ministry for over 30 years.

Being present in crisis to serve as needed and providing counseling and spiritual guidance to the affected party is her greatest joy in serving as a chaplain.

I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

Glorybelle Lillie

A former police officer and detective, Glorybelle has been married for 16 years and has three children. She earned her B.A. degree in journalism.

Glorybelle loves volunteering as a chaplain to support our hardworking officers, firefighters, and dispatchers to help our community. “I’m so thankful to God for letting me serve in this way, in the name of His son, Jesus.”

Then he called for a light and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, and brought them out, and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" And they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

Martin Gwasira

Martin is a teacher and pastor who earned his Master of Divinity from SDA Theological Seminary. He has been married for 25 years and has two adult sons.

Martin serves as a chaplain to “support families and individuals as they navigate the storms of life and helping them see the hand of God.”

I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
